ABOUT US

It is our vision that all youth achieve their full potential.

Since the 1950s, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound has operated under the belief that inherent in each of us is incredible potential and that good mentorship is the key to unlocking that potential. As Washington’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and young people (“Littles”).

Our Mission: To create and support 1-to-1 mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

BIGGER TOGETHER

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound’s work is centered on principles of justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion.  We celebrate the rich diversity of our community and believe all young people should have access to caring, supportive mentors who are trained in cultural competence. We welcome youth and mentors of all races, religions, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and gender identities.

We believe our community is #BIGGERTOGETHER

OUR IMPACT

Many of our kids face overwhelming challenges that often derail their futures. Youth in our programs who have been matched with a mentor for a year or more are doing better in school, have higher self-esteem and have stronger relationships with their family and friends.
