100 Holes, Big Impact: Support Darren’s Fundraiser for BBBSPS

This year, we’re thrilled to have PGA Golf Professional Darren Black take on the challenge of the 5th Annual PGA 100-Hole Marathon, an inspiring event where golf professionals commit to playing 100 holes in a single day to raise funds for local charities. Darren is swinging for BBBSPS, and we invite you to join him in making an impact!

Meet Darren Black: A lifelong golfer with a passion for giving back

Golf has been a part of Darren Black’s life since he was young, learning the sport from his parents. From competing as a junior golfer in Idaho to earning a national ranking of #12 in collegiate golf, Darren’s dedication to the sport has taken him across the country. After years of professional play, he transitioned into becoming a PGA Professional and now shares his expertise as a teaching pro at TopGolf-Renton.

Darren’s connection to Big Brothers Big Sisters Puget Sound began through his work at TopGolf, where he got to know our staff and mission firsthand. Inspired by our efforts to ignite the potential of youth in our community, he chose BBBSPS as his charity of choice for the 2025 PGA 100-Hole Marathon.

100 Holes, One Mission: Supporting Local Youth

On May 13, 2025, Darren will take on the 100-Hole Marathon at Meadow Park Golf Club alongside other Pacific Northwest Section PGA professionals. The event, sponsored by the Pacific Northwest Section of the PGA, brings together 1,300 PGA members and associates from Washington, Oregon, Northern Idaho, Western Montana, and Alaska to support local non-profits.

Not only will Darren be playing 100 holes in one day, but he’s also adding a personal incentive:

  • $5 donated for every birdie
  • $20 donated for every eagle

He’ll be providing live updates on his Instagram: @djblackpga.
