Bigger Together

COVID-19

As the news of the coronavirus pandemic changes by the minute, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound remains steadfast in our commitment to the safety and well-being of our youth, families, staff, and community.

Amid this crisis, we are doing all we can to decrease the spread of the virus. While our life-changing mentoring programs continue, we are minimizing direct contact and embracing social distancing, sanitizing practices, and technology use. We continue to monitor and adhere to local and national safety guidelines.

Our work to create and support 1-to-1 mentoring relationships is especially critical at this time, as youth and adults alike can be gravely impacted by social isolation. A calm and encouraging voice can be incredibly reassuring for any child living with uncertainty. We encourage you to stay connected via email, video calls, phone calls, and texts.

In these uncertain times, it is difficult for Big Brothers Big Sisters to amass the funds and volunteers that make our life-changing work possible.

You can help by taking action:

1) Make a gift to replace the dollars we had expected to raise at our BIG Breakfast.
2) Join our peer-to-peer fundraising team to encourage friends and loved ones to give.
3) Sign up to become a mentor for one of the 700+ youth currently on our waitlist.

Together, we will weather this crisis.
